Council of State
What is the Council of State?
Besides being an advisory body on legislation, the Council of State is also an administrative law court. This means that you can initiate proceedings for the annulment or suspension of a so-called administrative legal act that is detrimental to you before the Administrative Jurisdiction Division of the Council of State. Think, for example, of a decision of an OCMW or a government contract.
In addition, the Council of State's Administrative Jurisdiction Section also acts as a court of law in the event of an appeal in cassation against a decision of a lower administrative court.
Are you considering a claim at the Council of State? A lawyer will guide you through the procedure.
